The Burden of MS

When it comes to describing the impact of MS, we are more used to talking in terms of traditional clinical measures, but how does it affect patients’ daily lives? Symptoms that may not be easily recognised like cognitive difficulties, depression and fatigue can have a big impact on the day-to-day functioning of people with MS,1 affecting their employment and productivity at work,2,3 with associated effects on their emotional and financial status that need to be considered.
